Paul Honke

Paul is the senior partner, having qualified as a solicitor in 1980. Throughout his career he has practised within the Uxbridge area, originally as an assistant solicitor and then from 1987 as founding partner of the firm bearing his name, P.E.P Honke solicitors.

As someone with 30 years of experience within a high street practice it is no surprise that he has the degree of knowledge and versatility that enables him to provide a high quality of service to clients in a number of areas of Private Client work. These include Crime, Family Law, Civil Litigation and Employment Law in the field of Redundancy and Settlement agreements. He continues to regularly practise and represent clients as a criminal defence advocate within the Magistrates courts.

Paul particularly specialises providing legal services in relation to Private Client work including Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection applications and the administration of estates.

Mohamed Ally

Mohamed Reza Ally was admitted as a solicitor in 1990. With over 25 years of experience solely as a criminal defence solicitor and as a higher rights advocate, he was a founding partner at Ally Lindsay solicitors. He is now the partner with overall responsibility for our dedicated criminal department at HAL solicitors.

He began his career as a qualified legal advisor at the Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court and therefore provides unrivalled advice and representation to our clients whatever the charge they face, whether an allegation as serious as murder or the more detailed and technical allegations that arise within road traffic law.

He is a Higher Rights Advocate, often representing clients at the Crown Court in addition to his regular attendance at the police station and magistrates’ courts.

He advises and represents clients charged with traffic matters to major offences of fraud, drugs importation, rape and murder. He is an experienced trial advocate and works tirelessly in the defence of his clients.

Andrew Lindsay

Andrew is a partner at the firm having originally been one of the founding partners of Ally Lindsay solicitors before its merge with P.E.P Honke solicitors in 2007 to form HAL solicitors.

Now overseeing and principally working within the conveyancing team Andrew ensures the firm continues to provide the highest quality of service through membership of the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme.

In addition Andrew regularly appears at the magistrates courts, having over 20 years experience as a criminal defence lawyer. He is a Criminal Higher Rights advocate, a qualification he has now held for over 15 years and has represented clients there for a wide range of matters including grievous bodily harm and serious drug offences such as importation of drugs, possession with intent to supply.

Ian Millson

Ian is a duty solicitor with over 20 years' experience in the criminal justice system. An accomplished trial advocate, he is known throughout West London for his meticulous preparation of cases and his fearless cross-examination. He deals with all manner of criminal offences from the more minor to the most serious offences such as rape and murder.

Carol Connolly

Carol is a residential property specialist who heads our experienced conveyancing department.

Carol is a licensed conveyancer with over 25 years’ experience and as someone who grew up and still lives within the Hillingdon area she has an unrivalled local knowledge.

As well as day to day sales and purchases, Carol provides an expert service in a range of areas including purchases with the assistance of the First Time Buyer’s scheme, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, buy to let purchases, probate sales and lease extensions.

Amreen Rehman

Amreen qualified as a solicitor in 2004 and ever since has worked within property law. As a result, she is a specialist within the conveyancing department.

Originally joining the firm in 2012, Amreen spent a year with the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Service Mark department, providing expert advice and assistance to ensure that clients across the country receive the highest level of service from their conveyancer. Amreen returned to the firm in September 2014

She has extensive experience in a number of more complex matters including the sale and purchase of unregistered land, new build purchases and the rectification of defective leases.

Deborah Maslin

Debbie has over 15 years of experience of advising and representing clients at police stations across London and the South East.

Often, the first time a client sees their defence team is at the police station following an arrest and it is essential that a client immediately receives high quality representation and advice. Debbie provides that quality and is a reassuring presence to our clients, who rely upon her expertise and specialist knowledge, however serious the matter being investigated by the police.

Debbie has been with HAL Solicitors since March 2004. Her wealth of experience provides the foundation of the dedicated case preparation necessary to a client’s defence, working hand-in-hand with barristers and attending the Crown Court when necessary to ensure the right outcome for our clients.
